Description:  Valley 40 at the north end of Essex yard. Due to heavy rains and flooding earlier in the month which resulted in domage to a bridge just north of Essex, the VRR ran south to Old Saybrook for a while.

Description:  Jim Siebert and the crew of the 40 consult. Turned out the 0800 had a burned battery cable, but they had to couple back on to the south end of the train and shove it back north to Essex for one trip, till they could get the cable replaced.
